Required Qualifications:

Three (3) years current experience working in Anatomical Pathology and/or Quality. Knowledge and experience in the provincial Anatomical Pathology Quality Assurance Plan and associated metrics. Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program Active (or eligible for) registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA) or completion of an accredited CLXT program (or eligible for registration with ACCLXT) or related equivalent qualifications and experience related to AP/Quality.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Understanding of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta standards for Diagnostic Laboratory Accreditation and knowledge of the steps a laboratory department must take to ensure that they are compliant with standards. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft WORD, VISIO and EXCEL skills required. Experience in coordinating teams and projects, change management, and process improvement techniques. Demonstrated abilities in the development, review, and revision of policies, procedures, or forms and training materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and demonstrated abilities organizational, analytical reasoning, troubleshooting complex problems and decision-making skills. Attainment of a Quality Management System Certificate or equivalent post-secondary education in Quality Management Systems, or knowledge of Quality Management Systems. Proven time management skills.
