Current CMLTA registration and CSMLS general Registered Technologist certification. A minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in a technical medical laboratory role is required, in areas including Hematology, Chemistry, POCT, Microbiology.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite of applications, MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint, Access), extensive knowledge of the General Laboratory disciplines, best practices and accreditation standards applicable to those disciplines, excellent understanding of laboratory operations across APL including pre-examination, examination and post-examination processes, proven experience in team leadership skills with demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, demonstrated ability to facilitate change using knowledge of change management techniques, must be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills with a client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services through experience in negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution, knowledge transfer, experience with evaluation methodologies, metrics and formal reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
A formal Certificate or training in Quality Management Systems (QMS), experience with the development and application of a QMS, ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal & external stakeholders; understanding & experience with quality improvement methodologies (e.g. AHS Improvement Way, Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) in a healthcare setting ; project management, complex data analysis and/or interpretation experience.
