Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of medical laboratory experience. Capable of standing/walking for prolonged periods of time with manual dexterity. Ability to frequently push/pull a rolling cart weighing up to 200 lbs. and lift specimen transport containers weighing up to 40 lbs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while promoting a team environment. Keyboarding skills. Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in data entry into Epic-Beaker Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to assume responsibility. Good organizational skills and effective time management with the ability to set priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:Current experience working in Specimen Receiving (PrePost Analytics). Ability to give/receive feedback, lead self through change, interpret workflow visuals and respond appropriately to meet KPIs. Courses in leadership, process improvement or change management. Initiative, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. CSMLS certification. WHMIS 2015 certification. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office.
