Your Opportunity:
This Transfusion Medicine Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I position is responsible for performing a variety of duties including but not limited to antibody identification, blood product provision and manipulation, data entry and retrieval, shipping and receiving of specimens and blood products, problem solving and workflow monitoring.
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in an acute care Transfusion Medicine Laboratory within the last year. Advanced knowledge of Wellsky, Connect Care, and OrthoConnect. High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Haemobanks. Working knowledge of TIMS.
