Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Familiarity with Connect Care / Epic / Beaker. Have a good understanding of quality control theory and application, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting hematology and coagulation analyzers. You must have the ability to listen, comprehend and orally respond to or relay information, directions or questions in person, over the phone or in writing, in an accurate, clear and concise manner. Candidate must be well organized, flexible and able to prioritize and work under pressure. Must possess good technical and problem solving skills. Computer literacy and keyboarding skills required. Works a variety of shifts including evenings, nights and weekends. Demonstrates and promotes values of respect, accountability, transparency, engagement, safety, learning and performance.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in a high volume Hematology lab is preferred. Familiarity with Sysmex XN-9000 and STA-R Evolution is an asset.
