Master's Degree of Pathologists' Assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience recognized by the Canadian Association of Pathologists for Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistant (CCCPA) certification. Active or eligible for certification with the Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistants (CCCPA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Intermediate knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and medical terminology. Any Canadian equivalency to English 30 or 33 or CLBA scores of Benchmarks 8, completed within the last 6 months. Able to work with and exposure to chemicals and gloves. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to explain information in a well thought out, logical and effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications:Related experience in Anatomic Pathology within the last 3 years. Competence in grossing surgical specimens up to Level VI. The current shift indicated is subject to change due to operational requirements.
